As of the latest count of the US Census Bureau in 2017, there were 1,359 plumbing and HVAC establishments in Washington. Mr. Sullivan said that this figure may have grown based on several industry forecasts.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) expects plumbing and HVAC jobs to grow "much faster than the average for all occupations" between 2018 and 2028. According to the BLS, there were 500,300 plumbers and 367,900 HVAC professionals in 2018, and the former is expected to grow by 14% and the latter by 13% within the forecast period.

"While these numbers show positive growth for both industries, they also indicate that competition will intensify in the foreseeable future," Mr. Sullivan explained.

Moreover, the number of mobile Internet users will have an impact on a business's discoverability online. "Because customers today discover businesses through online search, an effective online media strategy will put a business ahead of the competition by helping it appear in search results more frequently," he explained.
